Jubilee Rosette made from Ribbon

Everyone is joining in the Jubilee celebrations where I live and the village is having 4 days of entertainment and teas from Thursday to Sunday. As my friend is are helping with teas and we have been asked to wear Red White and Blue she asked me to make her a rosette to wear over the celebrations. I can make Rosettes from paper easily but making with ribbon is another matter. 

I had several attempts before coming up with the following:-

This was made using flower techniques.
