Hello Crafters
Well I tidied the craft items away and then looked to Pinterest for new inspiration. I came across a great briefcase style stationary set, loved it and went onto the blog to get the details. Unfortunately the instructions were no longer available and so I have had to sit down and work out my own set of instructions to make it.
The case opens up and both sides have a folder to hold cards and stationary items.
This was prototype 1, and I wanted to tweak the inside folder, and set down sizes for making future sets
This is prototype 2, and it was successful.
Using a Dovecraft Painted Blooms pad of 12 x 12 papers the outside case is made from recycled cereal box, covered in the papers.
The folders either side hold 6 matching cards
A Notebook covered in matching papers and a Photobook again using the papers from the pad and 2 sheets of 12 x 12 Black card.
I will add some paperclips decorated with flowers made from off-cuts of the paper and perhaps a bookmark.
I love the concept and will be making several for my next Craft Stall. I wanted to do a workshop to make it, but cannot get a date at Pawlett Hall until November.
When I have a fully completed case I will add more pictures and a fuller description of the finish for the case

Another Flower display
Hello Again
As promised here is the other collection of flowers I made.
There are seven Kusadama flowers and a few small hand made roses.
All are made from pages from a music book and show bars of music on the petals. I think the book is music by Mendelson, and I purchased it from a charity shop.
The container for the flowers is an empty body lotion pot, covered in black card and with a label I downloaded from the internet.
More crafts next time. If you like what you see why not subscribe to my blog and/or leave feedback. Just click on the FOLLOW button at the top of the page.

New Flowers
Hi Crafters
Whilst working on a design for my next project, I have also been making flowers.
Back to basics but using recycled materials.
The first little posy I made included 2 Kusadama flowers made using the origami method of folding, and one hand cut rose. This is made by cutting 4 x 8 petals flowers and cutting 1 section out of the first piece, 2 from the second, 3 from the third and the last one in half.
All of the flowers are made from wallpaper. This is a great way of making a bouquet to match any of your rooms.
Here they are viewed from both sides.
I have put these onto kebab sticks, but in future I will make my own stems from pages of a magazine as they will be more flexible.
Tomorrow I will show you the flower display I made using book pages.

Workshop pictures
Hi Crafters
To all of you who came to the Craft Day on Saturday I hope your day was enjoyable and that you are home now using the techniques to make more cards for your stash, and now you have a folder to store all the lovely cards until you need them
The Concertina Files we made in the afternoon makes a perfect gift, and with notelets or cards ready for the recipient to use I am sure they will enjoy the gift and thought that went into it. It was lovely to see so many lovely bright Files on the table although I think there are a few missing.
The cards made using chalks are all so different it is lovely to see everyone's interpretation of the ways to stamp and chalk even when using the same stamps they look amazingly different.
Watercolours are lovely and soft and again lots of lovely different ideas on the table

I have spent Sunday putting away my stamps etc in the craft room and finishing the cards I started whilst demonstrating yesterday, so I have some new cards in my stash too.
Small Trinket Box
Hi Crafters
Yep another box
This one is a cute 3 section (look like drawers) box with flip lid
You make 3 boxes for the base and a cover to fold over. All sides of the cover are layered for added stability and then decorate the top
Once you have mastered the basic box making you can make this box any size, but it looks cute kept small.
I have really enjoyed making the collection of boxes,

I am going to fill the trays with chocolates. Or when I make Christmas boxes they could have small gifts in and will look lovely on the lower branches of the tree, or the bowers of greenery across a mantle. They would make excellent Teacher gifts with pretty paperclips and notelets in.

There are lots of sections for dividing your items into categories
I will be bringing my stamps and card samples in this one and after the craft day it will hold finished cards ready to use.

Box made with Envelope Maker
Hi Crafters
Another box today
This one is made using 4 envelopes the same size, made on my envelope maker.
I have the We Are Memory Keepers, Envelope Board and I simply cut 4 envelopes from 4 pieces of 6" x 6" card, from at First Edition pad. It was double sided so the flaps showed a lovely contrast

I also made a belly band so that if I wanted to put sweets or cookies in or anything wrapped in cellophane I could secure the top. This can be placed around the box until you need it.
A great way to use up those spare pages from your paper pad
