Wow a lovely notelet set and folder from your 8 x 8 stash

Part 3 of Using Up Your Stash - 8 x 8 Papers

Hi Crafters

The last in the current series of Using up your stash.
I was going to do some ideas for your 12 x 12 papers but quite honestly you can use them up on your big projects, cut them down for the projects shown so far and use up any scraps for embellishments and bows etc
I will be running a series of how to use up your scraps later on, but there are so many great projects I want to share with you, for now I will stop at the 8 x 8 papers.

This last project is really cute little folder with matching notelets and tags.
They would make a great way of encouraging little ones to write thank you notes, or to carry in  your bag in case you  wish to give a note to someone or a thank you for a favour done.

For This Project you need:
7 sheets 8 x 8 card/papers
3 sheets of A4 papers
Corner punch, Binding Tape, Glue, ribbon

For the Wallet
Take 3 sheets of paper
Score from the bottom 5cm, Fold up and then fold in half back to the base to form your pocket, Glue top of fold down
Fold each in half with white side on outside
Glue each on top of the other to form wallet
Add a small amount of glue to the outside edges of the pages (not to the middle)
Add binding tape to the edge of your wallet
Cut another piece of 8 x 8 into 2 pieces 5” x 3 ¾”. Before adding to your wallet, place the ribbon around the wallet and and secure with double sided tape. Glue the two pieces to front and back lining up to the outside edge and covering the ribbon.
For the cards
Cut the other 3 pieces of 8 x 8 widthways and then cut each piece down to 17cm wide. Fold in half trim the corners and these form  your cards
Decorate as you wish, also use the trimmings to make matching tags

For the Envelopes

Cut the 3 sheets of A4 in half to give 6 pieces 21cm wide by 15cm tall Score at 5cm and 14cmTurn and score at 2cm top and bottom – Fold all score lines and fold sides in

Cut a notch in the bottom corners. Unfold, at the top cut down side score lines and cut off the sides

Fold in and glue base and middle seam. Trim top flap

Make up 6 envelopes this way and pop a card and envelope and a tag into each flap.

NB If you wante to make something instead of the tags with your scraps, why not use some of them to mnake covered paperclips.

Well that ends our series of Using up your Paper Stash. I hope you have enjoyed it. I have enjoyed having you all pop by my blog, it encourages me to share my makes and adds enjoyment to my crafting.

Next week I have  a couple of great cards to share with you so keep looking in.

Happy Crafting

Dee
