Book Fastening

As promised a couple of days ago I  have made the book fastening using elastic and a vintage button.

This would be great to hold scrapbooks, journals or mini albums together

Simply find a button to match your book cover and thread the elastic through the holes. Tie in a knot close  to the button hold to secure the elastic on the button and then tie the two ends together. You can trim the ends or if it suits, leave them open like a bow end.

The amount of elastic required is approx 2.5 times the width of the book, simply fold the elastic around the book twice and add a little.
