I know, this sounds a mouthful, but when you see the pictures you will get what I mean.
I found this on YouTube, on Positively Papercraft site.
It can be made from
1
piece of 12 x 11 card
1
12 x 12 to cover the box base
1
12 x 12 cut into 4 strips 6.8mm and then cut lengths of 3” score each piece at
6.8mm
Needless to say I wanted to make a bigger version and did this using
2
x A3 joined by scoring at 28cm
4
x 12 x 12
A3
card from the join score 10cm, 20cm and cut off remainder of that side
From
the join the other side score 10cm, 20cm 24cm 26cm cut remainder off
Place
on Score board shortest side at the top and score 10, 30cm 40cm cut at the 40cm
line
Score
6cm each side down from the top to the end of the first square section
Looking
at the paper flat on the desk laid out like an A3 card
Cut
out the bottom side panels
Leave
the next side panels in and cut out the 3 side panels
The
lid Flap: cut out the 6cm side pieces and the top 2cm section on the top of the
4cm panels
Cut
from the top of the card to the first panel piece of the 4cm panel
Use
2 of the 12 x 12 to decorate the main box
Cut
the other 2 12 x 12 3 lengths of 9.5cm and then cut each strip into 4” pieces
score at 9.5cm
As you can see the box opens and each side has 9 photo mats measuring 3.5" square, and then fall like a waterfall card inside, making a total of 18, plus the inside of the box has 2 panels that can have photographs or have a small folder section added to store tickets and other memorabilia
I think this is so cute, and woudl make a lovely momento for a bridesmaid or prom.
