Today is Wednesday so it must be Die Cutting day.
I Love using my Christmas Dies, I usually get carried away cut out lots of different shapes and backgrounds and have fun putting them together. I tried this method for this card but had trouble getting a whole card from the pieces. You know somedays the ideas just won't come. So instead I sat and decided the design, and then cut the paper layers and dies to fit.
So here is the second attempt
This card was made from a 7" scalloped base card
1 piece of mat silver metallic card 13.5cm x 16.5cm
a mistletoe and poinsettia 'create a card' die (cut out the centre of the card stock)
1 piece of mat silver metallic car 10cm W x 12cm H
which holds my favourite die cut Reindeer/Greeting
I could have used the first 2 pieces and added a poinsetttia flower and leaves, so the 2 base mats are very versatile, but of course add thickness to the card increasing the postage costs.
If you look back to September 2019 there is a post using the reindeer die onto a preformed and decorated card, with no additional layering, very quick and easy to make and ideal for sending to family and friends where cards have to be posted, si perfect if you make 50 plus cards. Look out for printed or embossed Christmas cards on Ebay or in the sales if you have a favourite die this woudl work with.
Back tomorrow with the last card in this series. The Christmas Shaped card.
