Embossed Cards - Day 2

Back To Basics - Embossed Cards - Day 2

Here we are with the second set of cards made using embossing folders. I love how simple the cards look and how easy they are to make.

Card 3

This is an Anniversary card
Made using a frame by Crafts Too.

For this card you will require:

1 Scallop edged white card 5" x 7" this one is by Crafts-Too
Happy Anniversary Stamp
1 piece of Silver card  11cm x 15.5cm
1 piece of white card  10.5cm x 15cm
Edging decoration (optional)
Scrap white card for the greeting at least 6cm x 11cm

Having embossed the swirl frame, on the white card,  I cut out the centre part in order to raise up the frame from the sentiment
I stamped the sentiment/greeting onto the smallest piece of card and placed it central to the framed
I then layered that onto the silver card and the silver card onto the base card

This card could easily be made for a special anniversary by using Red Backing Card and ink for Ruby Anniversary, and instead of using the embellishment around the inner part of the frame, add some red flowers to the left side (perhaps place the greeting more to the right.
Or Gold for Golden Wedding, although I would do this on a cream base card with cream card and gold layering, anyway you get the idea.

Card 4

A Generic Card that is great for the stash in case of emergency, you can just add the sentiment as needed.

This is a lovely folder and so effective
There is plenty of room at the top to add your greeting.

For this card you need
1 'Breeze' Embossing Folder by Couture Creations I have a couple of thier folders both with this lovely swirl theme
1  piece of Silver card  11cm x 15.5cm
1 piece of white card  10.5cm x 15cm
Decoration for the centre of the swirl this is a double acetate butterfly

This is probably the most basic card of them all and yet I love it. It takes about 20 minutes to make so a good standby if you need one in  a hurry.

I hope you have enjoyed the embossed card theme.
Next we have a set of cards made using water colours and stamping
Hope you will pop back to see them in week 2 of Back to Basics

Happy Crafting
Dee
